FERPA and Electronic Transcript Authorization

In order to process your transcript requests electronically, we must have a written authorization form on file. Please note that if you do not want transcripts sent electronically, we still MUST have the FERPA waiver signed. This allows us to copy the transcript and send information to colleges.

The electronic transcripts will be used for the Common Application and other colleges that accept electronic applications. If you have any questions, please contact Meg Scheid at meg_scheid@gwinnett.k12.ga.us or 678-518-6695.

DEADLINES

All 12th grade students need to apply to AT LEAST ONE COLLEGE by October 15th. A good idea is to apply to your safety schools early. Also be aware of scholarship deadlines at the specific schools.

Please request all transcripts before December 19th, as the counseling department will not be accessing transcripts during Winter Break.
